Behind the Couture | We Did It Ourselves

As evidenced by this little photo-montage, we’ve been having a lot of fun around the office playing with our new DIY Couture Yourself Charm Collection. We love that no two are alike, and that you can mix the old with the new. Here, the creators talk inspiration.

1. While The Notebook is certainly not in my top 10 list, this line is definitely a personal favorite. After all… ‘if you’re a bird, I’m a bird.’ —Erin Diamond

2. I threw in a funny turquoise skull to keep all the love and peace symbols from getting too serious. —Lisa Germinsky

3. It’s all about luck and love. The ladybug and wishbone are lucky, the hummingbird is for peace and love, and the B is for my husband. —Jennifer Belfatto

4. Me and a palm tree. Need I say more? —Leslie Smith

5. I’m loving the 70s glam references inspired by my favorite gypsy—Stevie Nicks, of course. The crystal rock charm, Juicy pave feather, and vintage engraved coin, along with my initial H all have personal meaning. —Hillary Bott

6. I love that collectively, it’s unique! —Lynn Reed

Office Arm Candy | Double Up

Our super cool creative services coordinator, Tweetmistress and sometimes copy writer, Erin Diamond, proves with this mix of glittering genius that two is indeed better than one!

1. If you had to name this arm candy mash-up what would it be?

Geoffrey.

2. What’s the hero piece?

The big ol’ Juicy gold box chain. It’s bold and fabulous.

3. What is the most sentimental piece?

A few of them were gifts from lovely friends and family, but the most sentimental piece is the gold claddagh bracelet. It belonged to my Grandmother.

4. What would be the perfect setting to wear this particular stack?

Geoffrey screams versatility. I would wear these bad boys from the beaches of the Hamptons to the benches of The Standard’s Biergarten. They’ll sparkle all the same with a high-waisted bikini, or brightly colored denim and a tee (or an acid-washed denim motorcycle vest, perhaps?). I take them off before going for a dip though; truthfully they’re quite heavy and probably life-threatening. Every once in a while safety trumps fashion, I guess…
